The DAV Van in Hope is in desperate need Of volunteer van drivers to help transport
local veterans to their VA appointments.
No commercial driver’s license is required, and drivers do not have to be veterans. The
position is strictly volunteer—there is no pay—but it offers a meaningful opportunity to
give back to veterans, support the community, and help ensure veterans receive the
care they need.
The van travels to Little Rock every Wednesday. It leaves Hope at 7 a.m. and makes
stops in Prescott, Gurdon, Caddo Valley, and Malvern before continuing to the VA
facilities in Little Rock and North Little Rock. The van departs the Little Rock VA at
approximately 3 p.m.
Anyone interested in volunteering is encouraged to visit the County Veterans Office at
200 East 3rd Street in the Hempstead County Courthouse or call 870-359-0181.
