Hope Police Department announces additional charges in ongoing investigation

HOPE – As previously reported, on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at approximately 3:15 p.m., detectives with the Hope Police Department arrested Bryanna Brewer, 33, of Hope, Arkansas, in the 1300 block of East 3rd Street. Brewer was charged with Hindering Apprehension/Prosecution and was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility, where she was held pending her first court appearance. During that appearance, Brewer’s bond was set at $250,000 cash.

On Tuesday, June 2, 2026, Lance Brewer, 33, of Hope, Arkansas, was arrested by the United
States Marshals Service in Texarkana, Texas, on a warrant issued by the Hope Police
Department and the 8th North Circuit Court for the offense of Rape. On Friday, June 5, 2026,
Lance Brewer was extradited to the Hempstead County Detention Facility, where he was held
pending his first court appearance. During that appearance, his bond was set at $350,000 cash.

On Friday, August 21, 2026, Hope Police Department detectives obtained additional warrants for
both individuals as the investigation continues.

Bryanna Brewer was charged with Permitting Abuse of a Minor. During her first appearance on
this charge, an additional bond of $250,000 cash was set.

Lance Brewer was charged with an additional count of Rape. During his first appearance on this
charge, an additional bond of $350,000 cash was set.

The Hope Police Department continues to investigate this matter. Additional information may be
released as it becomes available and as appropriate to the ongoing investigation and judicial
proceedings.
