BINGEN – The McCaskill Volunteer Fire Department shared several photos of a woods fire Sunday afternoon that led to a number of volunteer fire departments responding to a Mutual Aid request from the Bingen Volunteer Fire Department. Departments from Bingen, McCaskill, Ozan, Blevins, Yancey, and Washington were among departments that responded, as well as crews and equipment from Arkansas Forestry. SWEPCO was dispatched to assist with down power lines. Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office had deputies on scene.
