BODCAW – Wednesday afternoon, Nevada County Fire & Rescue responded to Nevada 114 outside of Bodcaw to assist with a structure fire and a small forest fire involved in the incident.
Multiple departments and agencies responded, including Laneburg, Willisville, Bodcaw, Emmet, Southeast, Patmos, and Arkansas Forestry, with additional units bringing water to assist with firefighting efforts.
Sadly, the family lost their home, a vehicle, and two sheds in the fire.
With Nevada County still under a burn ban, we want to remind everyone to follow all current burn ban restrictions and use extreme caution with any outdoor heat source. Please help us prevent the next fire.
