The Hope Kiwanis Club recently heard from Kim Rowe of the Hempstead County office of the Cooperative Extension Service. Rowe explained how the extension service functions as a part of the University of Arkansas. Rowe serves as the agriculture agent. Terrie James is the Staff Chairman and also serves as the Family & Consumer Services agent. Betty Wingfield serves as 4-H Youth Development agent. Becky Harrison is the Admin Specialist. Rowe explained the duties of the other agents and also detailed the community and economic development programs. She’s shown here with Kiwanian Frances Hendrix.
