ARKADELPHIA – Dreams have been fulfilled at the 2026 4A-7 District Tennis Tournament! After two months of grueling training and challenges for the Bobcat tennis team, the time finally came for the district tournament, which was held in Arkadelphia on Monday, October 5th, on the Henderson State University and the Ouachita Baptist University tennis courts. Twelve team members participated in the tournament, having two guys and girls singles players, and two teams each in doubles.
With a grand majority of the Hope Bobcat tennis squad being seniors this year, the team had one goal in mind; to win the district tournament. And the Bobcats did just that! The Cats dominated the courts with grit and determination, with Hope representatives reaching all four finals (girls and guys singles and doubles), with girls singles star Monica Bobo and doubles duo Riley Bramlett and Davis Johnson winning the district tournament. Showing equally as head turning performances were singles slam Drake Mathis and girls doubles duo Mycah Bradley and Jaime Young, who achieved second in the tournament. Along with these winners and runners-up, first-year doubles players Kinzee and Kylie Brown won third place, making it to state in their very first season! With the magnificent displays put on by the Bobcat team, the squad achieved their goals, being crowned overall district champions in both the boys groups and the girls groups. This award is given to the team that performed the best overall. One more trophy was given, the Coach of the Year Award, which we are proud to announce that it was given to none other than Bobcat Head Coach Ricky Rhodes!
After their marvelous performances, eight Bobcats will be making the trip to the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville for the 4A state tennis tournament! The tournament will begin on Monday, October 12th, and will continue the next day on Tuesday, October 13th. Here are your Bobcat tennis state representatives!
Girls: Monica Bobo, Mycah Bradley and Jaime Young, Kinzee and Kylie Brown

Boys: Riley Bramlett and Davis Johnson, Drake Mathis

We congratulate the Hope Bobcat tennis team for all of their hard work thus far, and we wish the very best to the teammates that will now be heading off to the state tournament!
