Lions hear about rehab facility

HOPE – Angelyn McMurray, from We Are Free, gave the Hope Lions Club an update on the progress of their human trafficking aftercare/rehabilitation facility that they will soon begin construction on in the area. A well is currently being installed on the property, with septic systems to be installed soon. Dirt work will begin soon on the site, as well, for the first of at least 3 homes intended to house the individuals who’ve been rescued and are in need of aftercare.

Several fundraising events are coming up soon.

“Priceless” – a movie fundraiser event which will be held on Jan. 29 at Hempstead Hall

A large formal fundraising banquet is scheduled for March at Hempstead Hall, more details coming soon.
