Cotton, Boozman Vote For GOP Restructuring Social Security

WASHINGTON D.C. – Both Arkansas senators, Tom Cotton and John Boozman, voted along party lines against an amendment which would formally embrace President-elect Trump’s campaign promise that Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid benefits would not be cut last week.

The amendment, attached to SCOnRes3, which clears the way for the repeal of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, would also have put the Senate on record as opposing any repeal of the ACA that would cause 30 million people to lose health insurance or raise prescription prices for senior citizens.

  1. The repubs will wind up hurting the very people that voted for them. Repubs feel no shame. God bless the poor uneducated people that voted for them and are going to get screwed
