Gosnell new president and CEO of Farmers B&T

Magnolia – The Farmers Bank & Trust Board of Directors announced, at its regularly scheduled meeting January 16, Chris Gosnell as president and Chief Executive Officer. Chris has been with Farmers Bank & Trust for over six years, and brought with him six years of banking experience from Northwest Arkansas when he joined the Bank in 2010.

His new responsibilities as CEO are effective immediately. Gosnell previously served as President and Chief Banking Officer for the Bank.

The board is also pleased that former CEO, Bob Burns, will remain involved with Farmers Bank & Trust, continuing to serve as Chairman of the Board. Under Burns’ leadership, Farmers has grown from a $31 million bank to $1.3 billion since he joined the Bank in 1980. The board appreciates all he has done to grow Farmers into the bank it is now, and looks forward to many more years of growth under his and Gosnell’s leadership.

Gosnell received his Bachelor of Arts in Administrative Management from the University of Arkansas in 2003, as well as his Master of Science in Operations Management in 2005. He graduated from the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado and serves on the Arkansas Bankers Association Board of Directors. In addition, Gosnell was named in Arkansas Business’s 40 Under 40 list for 2015.
