UPDATE – The work being performed on Hempstead 26 is a drainage project, requiring replacement of 48″ pipes at depths of 12″ to 15″.
HOPE – According to a press release by Hempstead County Judge Haskell Morse,
“Hempstead County Road 26 will be closed until further notice due to extensive road repairs.”
Residents are urged to find alternate routes.
