James Q. Adams
James Q. Adams aka “Booky” was born February 12, 1984 in Hope, Arkansas to Lisa Adams Ross and James Lee. Booky suddenly departed this life Monday, January 30, 2017. His work on Earth was finished, God saw fit to call him home.
James graduated from high school in the year of 2002 at Saratoga, Arkansas. Booky was a kind and loving person. Wherever he was, he always stole the show, he could draw people like a magnet. God gave him a special gift and that was loving people. Anyone who wanted to be a part of his family, he claimed, he had enough love for everyone. Booky was in the process of organizing a family reunion along with some of his cousins for this summer. He wanted his family to reunite, that’s how much he loved. But, most of all, he loved his children, they were his pride and joy. Secondly, the love of “rap” music. “Rap” in the morning, “Rap” at noonday, “Rap” at suppertime, rap, rap, rap. Booky was so good that he wrote his own rap songs, he had a passion for it. He was very intelligent and gifted. Booky was a leader within his own right. He would go out of his way to help someone, always bringing people together, whether it be a dance, concerts, car shows or riding motor cycles. Booky did it his way.
James was preceded in death by his grandmother, Letha Lee and his grandfather, Leroy Whitmore.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories his children, one son, Nicholas Adams of Ashdown, AR; two daughters, Paris Dunn of Mineral Springs, AR, Ja’ciya Adams of Hope; his fiancee, T’keyah Warren of Hope; parents, Keith and Lisa Adams Ross of Grand Prairie, TX, James Lee of Texarkana, AR; grandparents, Lillie Mae Whitmore of Columbus, Cleo and Johnnie Adams of Los Angeles, CA, Louis and Jacqueline Ross of White Hall; one brother, Keith Ross, Jr. of Lancaster, TX; three sisters, LaKiesha Ross of Grand Prairie, TX, Candace Williams of Denton, TX, Ladrecia Pree of Cedar Hill, TX; five aunts, five uncles, five nieces, two nephews; and a host of cousins, extended family and many friends.
Visitation will be 12pm-5pm, wake 6-7pm Friday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 2:30pm Saturday, February 4, 2017 at the Saratoga Gymnasium, Saratoga, Arkansas. Burial will be at Camp Springs Cemetery in Columbus. Arrangements entrusted to Hicks Funeral Home, Inc.
