Henry Flenory
Henry Flenory (December 10, 1925) was the youngest of 3 children born to the union of the late Celia Flenory and Lawson Flenory all whom preceded him in death.
Henry joined St. Mark Baptist Church, Hope, Arkansas at an early age and later joined Greater St. Luke Baptist Church to serve as head of the Trustee Board for many years. He remained a faithful member until he departed this life.
Henry and Pearline Flenory of Powers, Arkansas met in their early teens and married in April, 1944. To this union 5 children were born, Audrie Adams, Cecil “Tob” (Ala Mae) Flenory of Hope, Arkansas, Vivian Lawrence, Calvin Flenory, Denise “Sista” George of Los Angeles, CA; he also has a son, James Flenory of Dallas, Texas.
Henry departed this life peacefully on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 in Hope, Arkansas at the age of 91.
He leaves to cherish his memory: six children; eight grandchildren, Tarrar Laws, Marcus Flenory of Hope, AR, Yolanda (Anthony) Young of McKinney, TX, George (Brenda) West, Mansour (Anahit ‘Ali’) George, Jameel George of Los Angeles, CA, Gregory (Jessica) West of Sacramento, CA, Dana Underwood of Ft. Wayne, IN; seven great grandchildren, Chelysia Young, Darione Pridgeon, Seraiah West, Kendall, Keyanna, Kemora, Sean Underwood, Seryn Henry George; one great great grandchild, Carter Pridgeon.
Visitation will be 11am-5pm, wake 6-7pm Monday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 11am Tuesday, February 28 at Greater St. Luke Baptist Church. Burial will be at Westmoreland Cemetery in Fulton. Arrangements entrusted to Hicks Funeral Home, Inc.
