Ruth Ellen Williams

Ruth Ellen Williams, affectionally known as “Sis” 76, departed this life on February 25, 2017.  Born July 18, 1940 in Bodcaw, Arkansas to Jethro and Addie McKinney.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was an active member of New Hope Baptist Church, Mt. Holly, Arkansas.  Most recently serving under the leadership of Rev. Jerry Miller.
A graduate of New Hope High School, Mt. Holly, Arkansas, Ruth was employed with Cleveland General Hospital, Cleveland, Ohio; Bayview School, Richmond, California; Dixie Maintenance and Union County Health Services, El Dorado, Arkansas.
Preceding her in death, Jethro and Addie McKinney (parents); Leroy and Jethro McKinney, Jr. (brothers); and Lois Marie Burks (sister).
She leaves to cherish her memory, Alicia Sturges of Mt. Holly, Arkansas (daughter); Eric McKinney (Lolita) of Camden, Arkansas (son), Velma Osborne (Eddie Joe) of Richmond, California; and a dear sister-in-law, Conswilla McKinney of Corona, California; three granddaughters, Nicole McKinney, Domonique Sturges and Courtney Johnson of El Dorado, Arkansas; three grandsons, Jalen Marable and Jeremy McKinney of Camden, Arkansas, Jeffrey McKinney of Conway, Arkansas; six great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral service will be held 11am Saturday, March 4, 2017 at New Hope Baptist Church, 204 New Hope Road, Mt. Holly, Arkansas.  Burial will be at Azar Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to Hicks Funeral Home, Inc.
