Spring Springs Tomorrow, Monday March 20th

HEMPSTEAD/NEVADA COUNTIES – If the trees budding out, flowers blooming early, Geese flying north, your nose and throat making you miserable isn’t enough to hint that Spring is almost here, how about the huge snake (I didn’t stay long enough to get his name) laying across the road?

Congratulations! This year, the vernal equinox takes place on Monday, March 20 at 5:28am CDT.

At this time, the sun is crossing over from the Southern Hemisphere to the Northern Hemisphere.

During this process, the sun is shining directly over the earth’s equator, bathing the earth’s Northern and Southern Hemispheres on nearly an equal amount of sunlight.

So enjoy the flowers, enjoy the warmer temperatures, enjoy the thunderstorms, but watch out for snakes….
