Area 11 Special Olympics Held Saturday At Hope High School

HOPE – The Special Olympics for Area 11 Arkansas was held Saturday morning at the Hope High School track and field grounds.

With the track sporting fresh asphalt and paint, a good sized group of athletes, volunteers and fans were out early, enjoying the camaraderie that these events always bring.

After opening ceremonies, the softball throw, shot put, long jump and track events began. While each event had only a few participants, it was evident that all were winners, which is exactly what the games are all about.
