Richard H. Lockard

Mr. Richard H. Lockard, age 74 of Hope, Arkansas passed away, Saturday, April 8, 2017 in Texarkana, Texas. Richard was born in Hope, Arkansas on January 3, 1943 to Thomas Alvin and Betty Mae McAdams Lockard. He was a retired Postmaster for Washington, Arkansas and a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Hope. Richard was an avid musician, and enjoyed playing his favorite instrument the Trombone. His hobbies were hunting, raising Beagle dogs and riding horses. Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Betty Lockard, a brother; Thomas Lockard and an infant baby sister.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Kay Brackett Lockard of Hope, two sons; Mark Lockard, his wife, Ronda and Doug Lockard, his wife Rachell all of Longview, Texas, a daughter; Deedre Peck, her husband, David of Greenville, Texas, a brother; Ronald Lockard of Pensacola, Florida, seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, other family members and friends.

Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00pm on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home 1001 South Main Hope, AR.

Funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00pm on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home with Bro. Kenny Martin officiating. Burial will be in Holly Springs Cemetery in Spring Hill, Arkansas. Arrangements are by BRAZZEL/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope, Eddie BRAZZEL, Director.
