Westerman to speak at GTEDC

MAGNOLIA – Join The Golden Triangle Economic Development Council for the 16th Annual GTEDC Dinner Meeting on Wednesday, May 10, at 6 p.m. at the El Dorado Country Club, 101 Shady Side Street, El Dorado.

U.S. Congressman Bruce Westerman will deliver the keynote address. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

Westerman was elected the 20th representative of the Fourth Congressional District of Arkansas in 2014. He serves on the Committee on Natural Resources, the Committee on the Budget, and the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure. Westerman also serves on the Majority Whip team under the leadership of House Majority Whip Steve Scalise. An engineer and forester for 22 years at Mid-South Engineering in Hot Springs, Westerman is a registered professional engineer and forester. In 2013, he was named Engineer of the Year by the Arkansas Society of Professional Engineers. He lives in Hot Springs with his wife Sharon and their four children.

Dinner tickets are $25 per person and may be purchased at the GTEDC Office, Southern Arkansas University or through any local Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Office in Camden, El Dorado and Magnolia through May 8. A limited number of student tickets will be available at half price by calling the GTEDC office at 870-235-4924.
