PRESCOTT – On Monday, May 1, at approximately 10:39 P.M. Deputy Justin Hughes was on patrol on Hwy 53 near Falcon.

Deputy Hughes heard the call over his radio that Sgt. Steve Otwell had a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and failing to stop near Emmet. Deputy Hughes started toward Bodcaw on highway 53 when he came over a hill near Nevada County Road 3 and observed numerous cows standing in the roadway.
