Hope Kiwanis Club Hears Program About Beryl Henry Construction

imageHOPE – The Hope Kiwanis Club had a two-part program on Tuesday May 9th.

The first part was during the regular meeting when Hope Schools Assistant Superintendent Steve Bradshaw gave a report on the new construction at Beryl Henry. He noted the new classroom will replace metal buildings at the school which were constructed from 1969 to 1973. The total cost of the project is $4,212,000 and an additional concrete bus drive and asphalt fire lane added $277,396 to the project.

The new construction includes a combination gym and safe room. This room will be open to the public during severe weather. Rooms for art, a computer lab, a media center/library, choir room, and band room will also be part of the new addition.

Following Mr. Bradshaw’s short program, he took the club out to Beryl Henry for a tour of the new construction.
