Boozman Statement On Firing Of FBI Director James Comey

WASHINGTON D.C. – U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) issued the following statement regarding President Trump’s dismissal of James Comey as director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI):

“The work undertaken on a daily basis by the men and women of the FBI is vital to the safety and security of our nation. I am grateful for James Comey’s integrity and service during his tenure as the bureau’s director, despite being placed in some very difficult situations over the past year.

The Russian investigations will continue. I have full confidence in my colleagues and the professional staff leading the investigation by the Senate Intelligence Committee.

Americans deserve a full explanation as to the circumstances of the decision to immediately remove Mr. Comey from his post. Our country has lost faith in many of our institutions and a better public accounting of this situation, along with a thorough and fair confirmation process for the next FBI Director, can help restore some of that broken trust.”

  1. Yes, looking forward to a new FBI Director. (Comey was always the story, making everyone upset with him. Even the late night audience applauded his firing, and even Rosie O’Donnell asked for it!) Good for President Trump for making this difficult decision. I believe it will be a strong step forward in our nation’s security and in law and order.

  2. mr. boozeman, since we have a majority in congress, what steps have you taken to defund the murderous, slaughter of our living unborn innocent babies? there are several of these murderous organizations that YOU as part of the federal government are funding every year to keep these murderous acts up. I certainly hope your answer wont be s.o,p. “yes I’ll check into that”. you already know exactly what im talking about.GET OFF YOUR LAZY ASK AND DO SOMETHING. there are thousands of these babies being slaughtered daily.looks to me like the lives of these innocent babies should be more important to you than weather somebody gets fired from their job or not. the president is fully in legal bounds to fire this guy for any reason and you know this as well as I,
