Murder-Suicide Reported In Howard County

NASHVILLE – Howard County Sheriff Bryan McJunkins has stated that local authorities are investigating a murder-suicide that apparently took place this morning in the Sand Hill area of Howard County.

The body of Gracie Haddox was discovered Friday morning by a family member. Upon a search of the house, the body of Gerald Martin was discovered in a closet, dead from an apparent hanging.

In 1991, Martin was arrested for killing a woman, sentenced to serve life in 1993, but then paroled in 2013.
