Bluegrass fest May 20
WASHINGTON – The Hope/Hempstead County Bluegrass Festival will be held Saturday, May 20, at Historic Washington State Park from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. under the trees at the 1874 Courthouse. The event is organized by 107.9 FM (KHOA-LP) radio, Hope for Hempstead County.
The festival will feature: Eddie and Martha Adcock, Nashville, TN; Ray Wingfield and Cool Wind, Texarkana; The McWilliams Family, Caddo Gap; High Mountain Grass, Magnolia; and the Hempstead County Melody Boys, Hope.
There is no admission, but visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. Lunch and dinner will be available at Williams Tavern Restaurant from 11am—7pm. The gift shop will be open in the courthouse with snacks and drinks. In case of rain the show will be held indoors at Washington. Historic Washington State Park is located 9 miles north of Hope on US 278 West off I-30 take exit 30 and head west.
