Hope Junior Auxiliary 5K Colorful Fun
HOPE – “The runners are gathered at the starting line waiting for the signal to go.”
This was the anticipated 5K Color Run held Saturday, May 13th at the UAHT campus. Over 50 plus participants of all ages were on hand to compete and be colorful this year. The adults began their run at 8:00 am with the Youth Fun Run following at 9:00 am. The first splash of color happened at the beginning of the race. There were stations set up along the route to continue painting the runners. For the Adult division, there were medals for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place winners for both men and women. For the Youth division, all participants received trophies, sunglasses and a bracelet.
1st Place winners were Charle Ford & Nicole Williams
2nd Place winners were Zachary Moore & Deanna Graves
3rd Place winners were Zachary Smith & Emily McDonald
This event was hosted and presented by Hope Jr. Auxiliary and BancorpSouth. Additional sponsors were Amigo Juan’s, Lance & Associates, Medi-Mart, Stephanie Orr, Still’s Auto and Tailgaters Burger Co. All proceeds benefit the Children of Hempstead County. This year’s event raised in excess of $750.00.
