Tough Loss For The Lady Bears
This morning Spring Hill went head on against Rison for the 2A State Championship title. After 7 innings the Lady Bears fell short to the Wildcats 5-2.
The Lady Bears took an early lead in the first inning. Kelsey Gammage and Taylor Teague both scored a run for the Spring Hill.
Rison took the lead for with three runs in the third inning. In the third there was an error, scoring two runs and K Hurst doubled off of Kalyne Powell, driving in one run.
Maegan Ward led Spring Hill Lady Bears with one run batted in. She went 0-for-3 for the game.
In the fourth inning K Ratliff hits a line drive to center and advances to first while Steadman scores and M Ratliff scores.
After the fourth inning no runs were scored for either team. This ended the game in the seventh 5-2 with Rison coming out victorious.
I would like to congratulate Spring Hill for their amazing season this year. I would also like to wish the best to the seniors who graduated this year.
