Girls enjoy Spa Day

PRESCOTT – Roughly 10 girls signed up for the Prescott Leo Club’s first Spa Day.

The event was held in the Potlatch Building at the Nevada County Fairgrounds Saturday. Members of the club gave manicures, pedicures and facials to their customers. All who signed up also went home with a goody basket. The customers also got to choose from a wide selection of colors of nail polish for their fingernails and toenails.

Money raised from the event will be used to help purchase a vision screening machine to be used in local schools. According to Lion Club President Penny Lynch, the machine will cost around $5,000.
