Groundbreaking for library June 21
HOPE – The Hempstead County Library Board of Commissioners is proud to announce the groundbreaking of the new Hempstead County Library will be held Wednesday, June 21, at 9 a.m.
The new 12,000 square foot facility will be constructed behind the current library, which was erected in 1948, at 500 South Elm. The construction of the new library is being made possible by both a $1.4 million donation by the Milton and Mary Campbell Estate and the taxpayers of Hempstead County. The new Hempstead County Library will be a state of the art facility that will meet the needs of Hempstead County residents for many years to come.
The community is invited to the groundbreaking and refreshments will be served.
