Leadership has Quality of Life and HHS sessions
PRESCOTT – Leadership Nevada County held its Quality of Life session on May 9.
The morning was spent at the Nevada County Library where several civic clubs spoke to the class and spent the afternoon at White Oak Lake State Park where the group heard from several speakers and had a barge tour of the lake. The group also enjoyed a great lunch prepared by Mayor Terry Oliver and Perry Nelson who are both Leadership Alumni.
Leadership Nevada County Held its Health & Human Services session on June 8. The morning started off with breakfast prepared by the workers at the Nevada County Health Unit and a panel discussion with Dr. Alan Fox, Kimberly Pinkham APRN, Dr. Charles Vermont and Dr. Michael Young. The group then went to tour several places around town. Lunch was held at Casa Carlos. The afternoon the group went to the local Arkansas Department of Human Services where they had several guest speakers. The last part of the day the class went to the Split Rail Residential Facility where Southwest Arkansas Counseling & Mental Health gave an overview of the facility.
