Hope Farmers Market
HOPE- The Hope Farmers Market had a great turn out this morning June 27. The market was filled with fresh produce from local farms. There were cucumbers, squash, tomatoes, watermelon, and more available at market today. A gift basket was given away from the hospitality table hosted by Lance and Associates, the basket contained tomatoes, squash, cookies, peaches, and more!
The Grace Academy Summer Program kids came out to see what the Farmers Market had to offer them. They got to taste muffins and try the green chili squares that were apart of the “Taste This Tuesday” food demonstration that was hosted by Linda Gilbert with the DeAnn Sunshine EHC. The kids also enjoyed getting to look at and purchase some of the homemade bracelets from the Flying “F” Farm family along with other vendors.
There will be an Independence Day celebration on June 29th from 4-7p.m. There will be activities for the children, popcorn, snow cones, and more. Hope residents are invited to attend other local farmers markets in Nashville from 7-11a.m on Fridays, and in Old Washington from 8a.m-1p.m on Saturdays.
