Santa Cop Softball Game

HOPE- The Hope Police Department hosted its Santa Cop Softball Game tonight Thursday, June 29. The game was hosted on the Lady Cats softball field. The softball game featured Veteran Officers against Rookie Offers. Hot dogs and drinks were for sale by donation, with all of the evenings proceeds going towards the “Santa Cop Program.”

The teams tonight consisted of officers and their family such as daughters, sons, and wives. The veterans won the seven inning game 29-7 against the rookie team. Each team was allowed three home runs each, after hitting three home runs  it would be five dollars into the “Santa Pot” to add more for the donations. After the game was finished the officers let the kids who watched their game come onto the field and let them hit the ball and run around the bases.
