Josephine Curtis

Josephine Curtis, 93, of Hope, Arkansas passed away Sunday, July 2, 2017 in Hope, Arkansas. She was born March 3, 1924 in Hope, Arkansas to Morris and Maggie Dixon Powell. She was one of eleven children.
Mrs. Curtis retired from Champion Parts after many years of service. She enjoyed fishing when she wasn’t spending time with her family. Josephine was a longtime member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church.
Josephine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carl Curtis, one grandson Jason Fry; two son in laws Varner Kidd and Bodie Quarterman.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Jack Curtis and Beverly, four daughters, Gale and Leon Adams, Janice Kidd, Jo Carolyn and Roy Fry and Carla Quarterman; one sister Bennie Purtle; fifteen grandchildren; thirty six great grandchildren and thirty one great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 4, 2017 from 6pm to 8pm at Herndon Pharr Funeral Home in Hope, Arkansas. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 10:00am at Providence Missionary Baptist Church in Hope. Interment will follow in Anderson Cemetery in Spring Hill, Arkansas with Bro. Kenneth Bobo, Bro. Revel Kidd and Bro. Casey Curtis officiating under the direction of Herndon Pharr Funeral Home of Hope.
