Mr. Floyd Chance

Mr. Floyd Chance, age 94 of Cross Roads, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at his home.  Mr. Chance was born in Heber Springs, Arkansas on July 10, 1922 to Firman Walter and Blanche Beck Chance.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Washington, Arkansas. He chose to be a livestock and poultry farmer for his career in life.  Mr. Chance served his country in the US Army during World War II, serving under General George Patton. He was truly a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.  Mr. Chance is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Margie Marie Mosier Chance, his five brothers; O.B., Walter, Roy, Paul and his twin brother, Lloyd.

Survivors include his son; David Chance and his wife, Patsy of Fayetteville, Arkansas, a grand-daughter; Sarah Marie Huhn, husband, Mike of Fayetteville, AR, two step-grand-daughters; Aylissa Fallan of Fayetteville, AR and Heather Fallan of Nashville, TN, and one great-grand-daughter; Avery Huhn, numerous other relatives and friends.

The family would like to give a “special” thanks to Cassie Green, Craig & Courtney Mosier, Kelly & Steve Bass, Karen Gilbert, Bro. Jimmy Dale and Raymond Adams for the special care they gave, that allowed Mr. Floyd to stay at home.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00pm, Thursday, July 6, 2017 at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest The Funeral Home 1001 S. Main Hope, AR.

Funeral service will be 2:00pm on Friday, July 7, 2017 at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest Funeral Home, with Bro. Jimmy Dale officiating.  Burial will be in Westmoreland Cemetery with Military Honors.
