Leadership learns local government
PRESCOTT – Leadership Nevada County held its Local Government session on July 6. The morning started off at the Nevada County Courthouse and a visit with Nevada County Judge Mark Glass and doughnuts. The class then visited with the County Tax Assessor’s office, County Clerk’s office, County Treasurers office, Circuit Clerk’s office, and the Tax collector’s office. Ben Gilmore with Congressman Bruce Westerman’s office came and spoke to the group also.
The class also visited went to the new Emmet Library and visited with Emmet Mayor Dale Booker. The class had lunch with Rosston’s Mayor Lewis Jackson at a local restaurant called Barr’s Junction. Then the class traveled to Cale and visited with Mayor William Worlow, his wife Janice Worlow and Janie Franklin. They finished out the day back in Prescott visiting with Prescott Mayor Terry Oliver.
