Mrs. Rosa Whatley

Mrs. Rosa Whatley, age 87 of DeAnn, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2017 in Prescott, Arkansas. Mrs. Whatley was born January 7, 1930 in the Forrest Hill Community to the late John T. and Phronia Arterbury Barham. She is a retired clerk with Ward & Son Drug Store and a member of White Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Deann. Mrs. Whatley was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She is preceded by her parents, her husband, Homer Whatley, her brothers; John William Barham and Herman Barham, and her sisters; Vivian Alford and Neoma Ward.

Survivors include; her son; Stan Whatley, his wife, Jan of Hope, her daughter; Ann Slowiak, her husband, Phil of Collierville, Tennessee, four grandchildren: P.J. Slowiak, wife Leah of Cleveland, TN, Shaina Choate, husband, Brian of Collierville, TN, Ben Whatley of Little Rock, AR and Steven Whatley of DeAnn, and five great-grandchildren, other family members and friends.

Visitation is 6:00 to 8:00pm on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest Funeral Home 1001 S. Main Hope, AR.

Funeral service will be 2:00pm on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at White Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in DeAnn with Bro. John Nations officiating.
