NCSO gets new K-9 officer
PRESCOTT – Nevada County Sheriff has a new K-9 Deputy. K-9 Max was recently purchased with donations to work with the Sheriff’s Department. Max will be working with handler, Deputy Jeremy Hendrix.
Deputy Hendrix and Max completed a two week Handler/K-9 certification class at the ArkansasK-9 academy in Little Rock. Deputy Hendrix and Max are certified as patrol deputies along with narcotics and tracking. Max’s first day on the job was Friday July 21st 2017.
Deputy Max is a Belgium Malinois and will be a great asset to the Sheriff’s Department in many ways.

At the time of this release Deputy Max has assisted in tracking one lost individual and assisted in making one drug arrest.
