Mr. Jimmy Muldrew

WASHINGTON – Mr. Jimmy Muldrew was born July 23, 1943 to Mary Lee Carrigan in Washington, Arkansas. A family with a lot of love to give, Jimmy was one of seven children.

Jimmy attended the Lincoln High School in Washington, Arkansas. At an early age, he accepted our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ as his savior. Jimmy attended the St. Paul Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in Washington. He was an active and faithful member. A diligent servant of the Lord, Jimmy was also a dedicated employee. He was an independent truck driver for over 40 years. He was a member of the Teamsters Union and an active member of the Arkansas Trailblazers.

On Tuesday, August 1, 2017, the Lord released Jimmy from his earthly body and welcomed him to his eternal home.

Jimmy was married to Helen Catherine Muldrew and to this union three children were born. Two preceded him in death, Jimmy Lee and Carolyn.

Jimmy later married Martha Raimen and they raised Carletta, Detrick and Dominick.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, wife, daughter, son, two sisters and two brothers.

He leaves to cherish his memory a loving son, Jesse (Kimberly) Muldrew of Laven, Arizona; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Muldrew and Ben (Arlene) Carrigan of Washington, Arkansas; three sisters, Odessa (Dan) Deloney of Phoenix, Arizona, Lizzie (Benjamin) Walker of Washington, Arkansas, Charlene Taylor of Hot Springs, Arkansas; a special friend, Jill Scott of Washington, Arkansas. Jimmy was a loving man. He helped raise numerous children and was loved by many. Two aunts, Ella Caple of Washington, Arkansas and Rosie Johnson of Hope, Arkansas, as well as numerous family members and friends.

Funeral services will be 1pm Friday, August 4, 2017 at St. Paul C.M.E Church in Washington. Mr. Muldrew will lie in state one hour prior to services. Burial will be at Washington Cemetery in Washington. Arrangements entrusted to Hicks Funeral Home, Inc.image
