Wolves-Panthers scrimmage
PRESCOTT – Football season kicked off Tuesday night with a scrimmage between the Curley Wolves and Ashdown Panthers at Cummins Stadium.
The game gave players on both sides their first opportunity to hit someone wearing a different colored helmet. The outcome wasn’t important as coaches used the scrimmage to look at their respective teams to see where the strong points are and what areas still need work as the regular season approaches. The game saw the varsity play a 12 minute quarter, followed by the junior varsity teams playing a 12 minute quarter.
Prescott opens the regular season hitting the road going to Southern Arkansas University to meet Hampton in the Mulerider Classic on Aug. 29. Kickoff for the game is set for 7:30 p.m.
