Homeowner shot in robbery

ROSSTON – On Friday August 18, at approximately 10:32 P.M. Nevada County Deputies were dispatched to 5160 US 278 in reference to a residential burglary with the home owner being shot.

Deputies arrived on scene and secured the area with the victim being transported by the Nevada County Ambulance Service.

An investigation was conducted by Investigator Robert Missey with the Nevada County Sheriff’s Department and Criminal investigators with the Arkansas State Police.

Investigation showed several individuals entered the home and during the incident the homeowner was shot.

Information received at the scene lead to an arrest by Deputies of Kelby Christopher, 18, from Rosston, at approximately 1:20 A.M. August 19.

Further investigation led to the arrest of 21-year-old Michael Scott and 21-year -old Kennan Scott from Camden, Arkansas, 25-year-old Joshua Talley from Waldo, Arkansas and a 17-year-old juvenile from Rosston.

All suspects were held for first appearance for the charges of aggravated residential burglary, aggravated robbery and battery 1st degree.
