Constitution week proclaimed

PRESCOTT – Prescott Mayor Terry Oliver signed a proclamation declaring the week of Sept. 17-23 as Constitution Week in Prescott.

He was surrounded by members of the Benjamin Culp Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution during the signing.

Sept. 17 marks the 230th anniversary of the drafting of the Constitution of the United States by the Constitutional Convention. A release states it’s fitting and proper to officially recognize this document and the memorable anniversary of its creation.
