The Hope Rotary Club welcomed District Governor Jennifer Van Houtte of Russellville on Thursday September 28th. Van Houtte talked about the programs the Rotary International President is asking local clubs to implement. This includes keeping records on local Rotary projects, planting trees in their communities, and also for clubs to contribute towards a final push to eliminate Polio worldwide.
After Van Houtte finished her program, she gave her personal story how she and her family settled in Russellville after Hurricane Katrina destroyed their home in New Orleans and the role that Rotary played in helping them in their new home.
