Mr. Wayne Pardon

Mr. Wayne Pardon, age 71 of Hope, Arkansas passed away Sunday, October 1, 2017 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Wayne was born in Tillar, Arkansas on February 6, 1946 to Eligie and Jewel Lee Handley Pardon. Mr. Pardon is a member of the Rafter “J” Cowboy Church in Hope, a Mason, serving in the Masonic Lodge of Portland, Arkansas and a veteran of the Arkansas National Guard. He is preceded in death by his parents, a son; Michael Wayne Pardon, a brother, Wyandol Pardon and his wife, Juanita and a sister; Jean Pardon Walker.

Mr. Pardon grew up in the 43 Canal Community of Desha County, Arkansas, where he graduated from the Desha Central High School. He later attended college at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia. He joined the Arkansas National Guard in December of 1965 where he served as a medic until December of 1971. At the same time, he worked for Bell Telephone as a lineman. After working for the telephone company, he moved to Wilmot, AR, and worked with his brother, Wyandol do farm work. He also, moved to Portland, AR where he did farm work.  Then he moved to Hope and begin driving a bus for Rainbow of Challenge. He enjoyed visitation with all the people that rode with him during his daily route. He was an avid outdoors man, enjoying hunting and fishing, however his passion dancing and cooking.

Those left to cherish his memory; two sons; Dane William Pardon (Amy Hartfield) of Maumelle and Larkin Haze Tuggle of Little Rock, a brother; Edward Pardon of Eudora, AR, a sister; Elizabeth Pardon Bass, husband, Grover of Hope, two grandchildren: Elizabeth Pardon of Crossett, AR and Garrett Mitchell Pardon of Hamburg, AR., a great-grandchild; Braylie Pardon, many nieces, nephews and his caring and wonderful friends.

The Pardon Family has humbly requested that in lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Rafter “J” Cowboy Church 4913 Hwy. 29 South Hope, AR 71801, and after the service the church will provide a meal.

A Memorial Service in honor of Mr. Pardon is schedule for 10:00am on Friday, October 6, 2017 at the Rafter “J” Cowboy Church with Pastor Terry Evans officiating. Arrangements are by BRAZZEL/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope, Eddie BRAZZEL, Director.  Online register: www.brazzelfuneralhomes.com
