Mr. James Booker
God saw your road was getting rough and your body was getting tired so God called you home. Mr. Booker was born to the late Vollie and Henry Booker February 5, 1931 in Washington, Arkansas. He departed this life on September 27, 2017. Mr. Booker served in the United States Army. He later worked for Lone Star of Texarkana, Texas and was self-employed for number of years before retiring. He is preceded in death by 6 brothers, 6 sisters and 1 grandson.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Esterine Booker of the home; one daughter, Patsy Booker of Texarkana, AR; four grandchildren, James, Erika, Tekoah May and Dewanda Trotter; 16 great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Inell Pendergraph and Mary Croons both of Portland, Oregon; two brothers-in-law, Paris Stuart of Cleveland, OH and James (Mae) Stuart of Texarkana, AR; his special family and friends, Mary Lard, Fannie Marshall, Alvin Booker, Ben (Arlene) Carrigan and James Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be 11am-5pm Friday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 11am Saturday, October 7 at St. Paul CME Church. Burial will be at Washington Cemetery in Washington. Arrangements entrusted to Hicks Funeral Home, Inc.
