Bobby Fletcher Bailey age 43 of Hope, Arkansas

HOPE – Bobby Bailey, 43, of Hope, has been charged with sexual indecency with a child, second degree sexual assault, rape and introducing a controlled substance into anothers body.

According to a release from the Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Reyn Brown got a call on Oct. 2, concerning a rape from the Hope Police Department dispatcher. Brown met with the mother of the child involved, who was 13 at the time of the alleged incident. During the investigation, the child admitted to having been at Bailey’s house and told Brown Bailey had provided methamphetamine, having the child snort it, smoke it and allegedly Bailey injected the child with the drug.

The child said while under the influence of the meth Bailey would have the child perform sex acts, and, on at least one occasion, Bailey reportedly shot a video of the acts using a cell phone. Bailey’s cell phone was confiscated and a warrant was obtained to search it.

Bailey has been in the Hempstead County Detention Center since July 19 on the charge of failure to appear. He has now been charged with the aforementioned charges and is being held awaiting his first appearance on them.
