Senior Night Victory for Bears

SPRING HILL- The Bears kicked off senior night against the Dierks Outlaws. Bears won the coin toss and opted to kick off to start the game. The Out laws ran the ball back to the 47 yard line were Dustin Beck made the stop. They later had a fumble in the end zone for a touchback for the Bears. The Bears started at their own 20. With a holding call made against the Bears and an incomplete the Bears were at 3rd and long a pass made to Drake Kidd who ran the ball for an 88 yard touchdown run making the score 6-0. The Bears kickoff went out of bounds and was placed at the 35 yard line. The Outlaws were stopped by the Bears. Lewis Chambers made a hit in the back field that caused a fumble that was recovered by Keymonte Rhodes who ran it in for a touchdown. Cameron Middleton was able to get the ball into the end zone for the two point conversion, bring the score 14-0 ending the first quarter.

With the Outlaws starting the second quarter with the ball, the Bears had an illegal block and the Outlaws were able to score and have a two point conversion, bringing the score to 8-14. The Bears had a pass to be intercepted  but was then turned back over on downs. Payton Massanelli as quarterback keeper had a gain of 14 yards getting the Bears a first down and Rhodes then ran the ball in for a touchdown. The Bears then went for a two point conversion were Massanelli made a pass into the end zone that was caught by Beck, making the Bears have a two touchdown lead. The kickoff return was stopped by Marshall Glover at the 37. With stops made by Rhodes and hosts of Bears a fumble on a play was a recovered by Beck and the Bears took over at the 48. Holding, and intentional grounding calls were made against the Bears and they punted the ball to thee 20 yard line. The Outlaws with multiple incomplete passes then had a pass that was broken up my Middleton caused a turnover on downs. A pass made by Parker Freeman to Massanelli got the ball inside the 5. Rhodes then went over the top of the pile to get the ball in the end zone, with a two point conversion the score to end the half was Bears leading 29-8.

Coming back from the half, the Bears received the ball from kickoff that was brought to the 46. Massanelli had gain of two yards, and Rhodes had a gain of 20 moved the ball to the 33 a pass to Chambers  was complete followed with Massanelli as quarterback keeper running up the left side getting the ball to the 5. Middleton was able to make a 5 yard touchdown run and the Bears got the two point conversion bringing the score to start the second half of 36-8. The Bears had stops made by Rusty Orr and Glover but the Outlaws were able to score a touchdown and two point conversion. The kickoff was returned by Rhodes but a block in the back call was made having the ball placed at the about the Bears 33. Rhodes then has a 13 yard gain. A pass to Chambers got the ball to the Outlaws 30. A fumble by the Bears was recovered by Bears Ty Clark followed with a pass that was tipped by the Outlaws but caught by Middleton to receive the first down. Massanelli as quarterback keeper got the 4 yard touchdown and the Bears continued to lead 42-16.

The Outlaws started the fourth quarter with a touchdown and two point conversion making the score 42-24 and then had an onside kick for the kickoff that they recovered at the Bear 49. The Bears were able to take back over on downs at their own 40. The Outlaws had face mask called against them with the fifteen yard penalty the Bears received a first down. Middleton carried the ball to the Bear 46 then a pass was made to him that was just shy of the first down. Middleton was then able to carry the ball to the Outlaws 14. Rhodes made the first down and Massanelli made the touchdown and the Bears had a two point conversion bring the score to 50-24.  The Outlaws returned the kickoff to their own 47. A stop was made by KC Harvel.  The Outlaws then got to second and goal and made a touchdown and two point conversion bring the score to 50-32. The Outlaws then recover the kickoff but had a turnover on downs allowing the Bears to take a knee to  end the game with the final score for the evening 50-24.
