Nurse licensure conference set

HOPE – The University of Arkansas at Hope will host a conference to discuss how the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) affects RN and LPN nursing practice and licensure. The conference will be held on December 18 at Hempstead Hall, 2500 South Main Hope, AR, 71802 from 10-11 a.m. There is no charge to attend.

Representatives from the Arkansas State Board of Nursing will share information on the changes to the Nurse Licensure Compact. Information will be shared on what the changes are and how they affect nursing practice. The conference will also help identify best practices for employers to ensure appropriate employment of nurses. The Enhanced Nurse Licensure (eNLC) became effective July 20, 2017, and will be implemented on January 19, 2018.

One contact hour will be awarded for attending the conference. The Arkansas State Board of Nursing has authorization from Act 86 of 2001 to require and approve continuing education activities for certification holders.
