HOPE – At approximately 9:35 a.m. on November 30, Deputy Sorensen was dispatched to 295 Hempstead 148 in reference to a breaking or entering.  Report taken, under investigation.

At approximately 4:10 a.m. on November 30, Deputy Sorensen was dispatched to 2620 Highway 73 West in reference to a suspicious person. Report taken, matter solved, person identified.

On November 29, at approximately 5 p.m., Deputy Dunham was contacted by dispatch and advised there was a subject in the lobby that wanted to file a report about her granddaughter running away. Report taken, juvenile located and reunited with family.

On November 29, at approximately 4:20 p.m. Deputy Dunham received information on trash that was dumped on Hempstead 14. Report taken, possible suspect identified, deputies attempting to locate suspect.

At approximately 11:30 a.m. on November 29, Deputy Sorensen was dispatched to the Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a domestic disturbance that occurred earlier in the day.  Caller stated earlier this morning she and her boyfriend, got into an argument and yelled at each other.  She stated he walked out of the house and then came back inside.  She stated when he did he put his finger in her face.  She stated he then pushed her face with his finger, she then left the house.  Victim stated she just wanted the boyfriend out of her house.  Deputy Sorensen did not observe any marks on the victim at that time.  Deputy Sorensen advised victim how to get an order of protection, and she stated that she was going to get one.  Deputy Sorensen filled out a Domestic Violence Lethality Screening and gave her a Laura’s card at this time.

At approximately 10:05 a.m. on November 29, Deputy Sorensen was dispatched to the Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a domestic disturbance that happened earlier in the day.

Upon arrival he made contact with the reporting party, who stated she and her estranged husband, got into an argument.  She stated she went to his house at to pick up her daughter.  She stated she was in the bedroom speaking with him and he was upset because she was late.  Reporting party stated he pushed her back and grabbed her by the shoulders and shook her.  She stated she walked outside and he followed her and threw a box of items off the porch to the ground.  She stated she did not have any injuries and she didn’t want any charges pressed against her estranged husband.  Deputy Sorensen did not observe any marks on the reporting party at the time.

Deputy Sorensen made attempts to contact with the estranged husband but was unable to make contact at the time.
