Kiwanis Hears Landfill Program

The Hope Kiwanis Club heard a great program Tuesday December 5th from one of their own. Hope City Manager Catherine Cook and Darrell Allen brought a program on the Hope landfill. The city currently operates a class 1 and class 4 landfill west of town near Guernsey. The city recently constructed a new cell which will give the town about 37 years of capacity. Cook showed pictures of the old landfill which the city has filled and the current cells of the landfill. Probably some of the audience were surpised because the landfill is not messy and is covered everyday after the trash is put into it.
