Prescott again a Tree City
PRESCOTT – Terry Oliver, mayor of Prescott, recently signed a proclamation concerning Prescott being named a Tree City by the Arbor Day Foundation.
This is the eighth year Prescott has earned this title, meeting the four standards required: having a tree board or department; a tree care ordinance; a comprehensive community forestry program; and an Arbor Day observance and proclamation.
Three trees were planted at the walking trails as part of the city’s beautification program through the Prescott-Nevada County Economic Development Office.
