Mr. Clayton L. Hawthorne

Mr. Clayton L. Hawthorne, age 74 of Fulton Arkansas, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2017 in Texarkana, Arkansas. He was born in Columbus, Arkansas on May 17, 1943 to Roy and Etta Clayton Hawthorne.  Mr. Hawthorne was a Christian and was a retired employee with 30 years of employment with Cooper Tire, retiring as a Shift Supervisor.  Mr. Hawthorne had served in the Arkansas National Guard, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a member of the National Rifle Association.  He is preceded in death by his parents Roy and Etta Hawthorne, brothers Garland Hawthorne, Robert Hawthorne and Leroy Hawthorne and his sisters Louise Ray, Louella Perry and Jo Hicks.

Mr. Hawthorne is survived by his wife of 51 years, Peggy Rosenbaum Hawthorne of Fulton, three sons: Wayman Holt, wife Laverne of Memphis, TN, Terry Holt of Texarkana, TX, and Brian Hawthorne, wife Bess of Texarkana, AR, three brothers, Ed Hawthorne of DeQueen, AR, Doyle Hawthorne, wife Lucy of Hope, and Tommy Hawthorne of McNabb, AR, two sisters: Henrietta Hendrick of Columbus, AR and Narlene Griffin of Nashville, AR, eight grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

The Hawthorne Family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 between 6:00 and 8:00pm at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest Funeral Home 1001 S. Main Hope.

Funeral service for Mr. Hawthorne will be 2:00pm on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest Funeral Home with Bro. Tom Lincoln officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Hope.
