HCEDC Meeting
The Hope Economic Development Council hosted their annual meeting last night, December 14. The board had meet the day prior to review the minutes that were approved during last nights meeting. Steve Harris gave a presentation of Hope, with images showing its economic development advances over the year. After official business was taken care of, awards were presented by Hempstead County Judge, Haskell Morse and Hope City Mayor, Steve Montgomery. The first award presented was to Carrol Rowe of Rowe Industries located on Highway 278 past the Hope Municipal Airport; Mr. Rowe was presented a knife from Morse. The second award presented was the Cox Brothers Foundry and Machine Company. Today the Cox Brothers are working on their 90th year of building American made machinery with its 4th generation of family leaders.
