Arkadelphia Man Dead In Hempstead County Accident

A 61 year old Arkadelphia man died in a two-vehicle accident around 9:30pm Monday (12-18) on I-30. A 2000 Chevy Pick-up driven by Kevin G. Taylor, Sr. was traveling eastbound in the westbound lane near mile-marker 22 in Hempstead County when it collided with a large truck. The Taylor vehicle stopped in the westbound ditch while the large truck ended up in the median. The driver of the large truck was not identified in the state police report. Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene by deputy coroner Ed McKinnon. Conditions were foggy at the time of the accident. The accident was investigated by Corporal Chris Bussy of Troop “G” of the Arkansas State Police.
